Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Manager for Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence in Boston. The role focuses on buy-side and sell-side due diligence, assessing earnings quality, cash flows, working capital, and key drivers.

You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with senior directors across industries. The position requires 5–8 years in audit/Due Diligence, CPA or CPA candidate status, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-8 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor Associates and Senior Associates.
• Manage and prioritize team responsibilities and proactively consult with MDs and senior team members.
• Maintain and update the budget and fee analysis as appropriate.
• Manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity.
• Review and evaluate project databooks prepared by team members.
• Generate a full due diligence report.
• Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding engagement matters (billing, scope, status).
• Develop and propose creative solutions to engagement and transaction risks and manage resolutions.
