Job summary

Menard, Inc Career Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is looking for a Manager Trainee. In this role, you will learn the functions of each department and how they contribute to the success of the Distribution Center.

You will manage and lead your team, ensure efficient receipt and shipment of products, and maintain safety policies and procedures. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts.

Job description

Shift Schedule

• 1st shift (approx. 6-7 am until 3-4 pm)
• 2nd shift (approx. 3-4 pm until 12-1 am)

As a Manager Trainee, you will work closely with Department Management to learn each department’s functions and how each department helps the Distribution Center’s success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and lead team members in your area
• Ensure that all product is received and shipped in the most efficient way
• Keep all areas in good repair, orderly, and clean
• Use equipment to capacity to fill orders
• Ensure all safety policies are enforced, all training is up to date, and all equipment is guarded and well maintained
• Keep all safety training and maintenance documented
• Keep open communication with all Team Members regarding safety issues
• Work with supervisors and managers in your area to accomplish goals
• Come up with innovative ideas to improve current processes
