The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is a member of the management team and is expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will maintain an engaged, productive team through strong leadership and initiative. Key responsibilities include:
MITs are responsible for completing training in operations and management, learning about the business and culture, and demonstrating progression to remain in the program. Promotion to management depends on performance and availability of openings.
