The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role providing work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management typically occurs within 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the management team, live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance.
• Support overall store management, including supervision, policy implementation, and financial management (manage, analyze, and reconcile P&L statements).
• Handle employee staffing, training, development, inventory management, and customer service leadership.
• Complete operations and management skills training, and learn about AutoZone culture and key business aspects.

Performance and progression through training are essential for continued consideration for management roles.

Requirements
