The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion to Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management can occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT maintains an engaged team through leadership and initiative. Responsibilities include:
MITs must complete operational and management training, learn key business aspects, and demonstrate progress to remain in the pipeline for management openings. Promotion to Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and availability.
