The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, based on experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead by example to maintain an engaged, productive team.
MITs will complete operations and management training, learning key aspects of the business and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression are essential to remain in the program and be considered for management roles.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager or Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and openings.
