Manager, Technical Delivery (Healthtech) (Direct Hire) - Remote in Madison, WI.

Carex is partnering with a growing healthcare technology consulting firm to hire a Manager, Technical Delivery to lead technical teams and oversee the successful design, development, and implementation of complex healthcare technology solutions.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who brings a strong technical background and enjoys balancing people management, solution architecture, and client delivery. You'll lead a team of developers, analysts, and architects while remaining actively involved in technical implementations, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and delivery oversight.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a consulting or client services environment, understands enterprise technology platforms such as Salesforce and Epic, and can establish scalable technical processes without slowing down execution. We're looking for someone who can build and mentor a high-performing team, solve complex technical challenges, and help shape how technical delivery evolves as the organization grows.

What You'll Do

• Lead Technical Delivery: Oversee technical solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support across multiple client engagements, ensuring solutions are delivered with quality and consistency.
• Manage and Develop a Technical Team: Lead, coach, and support developers, technical analysts, architects, and consultants while managing workloads, resource allocation, performance, and professional development.
• Stay Hands-On: Serve as a technical escalation point for complex implementations, integrations, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting while contributing directly to billable client work.
• Drive Solution Architecture: Translate business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, development plans, and implementation approaches across Salesforce, Epic, and other healthcare technology platforms.
• Establish Technical Standards: Develop and maintain best practices for technical documentation, development, quality assurance, testing, and delivery governance.
• Own Deployment and Release Readiness: Establish processes for version control, code management, deployment approvals, release management, and production validation using tools such as GitHub, Copado, and related platforms.
• Partner Across Teams: Collaborate closely with project managers, solution consultants, and client delivery leadership to align technical execution with project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
• Support Project Planning and Pre-Sales: Provide technical estimates, identify dependencies and delivery risks, and contribute to technical discovery, solution architecture, and statements of work.
• Improve Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen Jira governance, reduce technical rework, and create repeatable processes that support organizational growth.

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in technical delivery, solution architecture, software engineering, or technology consulting, ideally within a healthcare technology or enterprise consulting environment.
• Previous experience managing or leading technical teams, including developers, analysts, architects, or implementation consultants.
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology platforms, particularly Salesforce, Epic, CRM solutions, integrations, data platforms, or marketing technology.
• Experience overseeing end-to-end technical implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical solutions and effectively communicate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience establishing technical delivery standards, quality assurance processes, development best practices, and release management procedures.
• Familiarity with Jira, GitHub, Copado, or similar project management, version control, and deployment tools.
• Experience developing technical estimates, managing delivery risks, and balancing resources across multiple client engagements.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.
• A hands-on, adaptable leadership style with the ability to balance strategic direction, team development, and direct technical execution in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud.
• Experience with Epic platforms such as Cheers, MyChart, Hello World, Provider Finder, or related applications.
• Background in healthcare CRM implementations, system integrations, marketing automation, campaign execution, or customer journey solutions.
• Experience working for a healthcare consulting firm, systems integrator, or professional services organization.
• Familiarity with healthcare data privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting pre-sales technical discovery, solution design, and statements of work.
