Job summary

Bally's is seeking a Surveillance Leader to act as the liaison between Surveillance Room activities and executives, ensuring all operations meet internal controls and Louisiana Gaming Board regulations. The role emphasizes coverage for daily and special events, staff training, and incident review to prevent fraud and illegal activity.

The candidate will manage attendance, shift schedules, and staffing across all shifts while complying with gaming rules and maintaining high levels of staff

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
• Regularly schedule shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong knowledge of casino game rules and gaming regulations.
• Excellent organizational and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as direct liaison between Surveillance Room activities and Surveillance leaders.
• Establishes procedures to ensure adherence to internal controls and Louisiana Gaming Board regulations.
• Keeps up-to-date on procedural changes and regulations for optimal surveillance coverage.
• Notifies leadership and LGB agents upon detection of illegal activity.
• Provides training to Surveillance staff to ensure high skill levels.
• Oversees attendance, time records, and shift scheduling across all shifts.
• Recruits, interviews, and assists with selecting personnel for vacancies.
• Reviews Surveillance Incident Reports and monitors staff performance.

Job description

• Acts as direct liaison between Surveillance Room activities and Surveillance leaders and assumes responsibility for the efficient operation of the Surveillance department.
• Establishes operational procedures for the Surveillance department to ensure that all Casino Internal Controls and Louisiana Gaming Board regulations are strictly adhered to.
• Maintains up to date knowledge of changes in operational procedures, gaming regulations and internal controls to ensure that surveillance coverage is optimal.
• Notifies companies leadership and Louisiana Gaming Board agents upon detection of illegal activities.
• Works closely with the General Manager to ensure that ample coverage is in place for daily and/or special events at the Casino and Resort.
• Provides video footage to assist departments in the detection of fraud, insurance claims, employee investigations, and illegal activity.
• Oversees the management of attendance and time records for the Surveillance department.
• Provides training/re-training to Surveillance department to ensure the highest levels of skill and knowledge.
• Select, train, and develop team members through education, training, coaching, and corrective action.
• Review all Surveillance Incident Reports.
• Technical ability to operate and work on audio/visual equipment.
• Assist with performance management of Surveillance team (including but not limited to preparing issues of discipline and performance reviews).
• Management of staff to include shift scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levels across all shifts. Creates effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and ensuring overall coverage mandated by gaming regulations.
• Review surveillance department actions, personnel and processes.
• Recruits, interviews, and assists with selection of employees to fill vacant positions in assigned areas.
• Provides continuous feedback to the General Manager regarding related issues and makes recommendations for continual improvement.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

Experience

Preferred

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Louisiana Gaming Board.

Must be available for regularly scheduled work and able to work flexible shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Must have strong organizational and decision-making abilities.

Must have excellent customer and employee relations skills.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must have knowledge of all casino game rules.

Must have knowledge of all applicable gaming regulations.

Must have at least two (2) years of experience in Casino Surveillance Leadership role.
