Position Purpose: In this role, you will be a key member of the Regulatory Reporting Group, assisting in managing the day-to-day operations of the department.

Responsibilities include:

1. Reviewing and filing staff-prepared quarterly and annual NAIC filings, ensuring compliance with NAIC and other regulatory requirements.
2. Working closely with internal partners and external auditors to complete legal entity external audits.
3. Approving staff journal entries to the general ledger.
4. Participating in state DOI exams and responding to DOI/NAIC analyst questions.
5. Mentoring staff and encouraging their skill development.
6. Participating in statutory training sessions for staff.
7. Assisting with department projects as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of related accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, other spreadsheet applications, and accounting software.
• Previous experience as a team lead in a functional area, managing cross-functional teams on large projects, or supervisory experience including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Statutory reporting experience is strongly preferred.
• Healthcare experience is strongly preferred.

Additional details include:

• Pay Range: $86,000 - $154,700 per year.
