This position will serve as a full-stack developer to produce scalable software solutions. They will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. The developer will be expected to move between projects as priorities change, working across all layers of the application including front end, middle layer, and database layer, utilizing development frameworks and third-party libraries.

Essential Job Functions

1. Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems, applications, and components for market sale or proprietary software.
2. Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and successful delivery of software development projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, managing timelines, resources, and budgets, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
3. Serve as lead and technical expert on development projects, participating in requirements analysis, design, and deployment.
4. Follow established Agile processes, supporting planning, cross-functional support, and demonstrating working software.
5. Evaluate new platforms, technologies, and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of integration.
6. Make design decisions that promote reusability, componentization, maintainability, and minimal coupling.
7. Provide solutions and alternatives to technical impasses impacting project timelines, scalability, and performance.
8. Act as an escalation point for the Software Development team.
9. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager.

• Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive environment that encourages innovation and teamwork.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, information systems, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 12+ years of industry experience, with at least 2+ years in a VP or equivalent role.
• 5+ years managing distributed teams.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C#,.Net, Python, JavaScript frameworks, etc.) and experience with cloud-native applications, AWS, Kubernetes, and enterprise software architecture.
• Strong understanding of APIs, databases, DevOps, IaC, and observability tools.
• Experience with Agile Scrum, DevOps, and related tools.
• Excellent communication skills.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with generative AI technologies, language models, RAG, vector search, and AWS AI/ML services.
• Ability to design and implement AI models and algorithms.
