Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Senior SAP Quality Engineering leader to define and execute the quality strategy across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and Integration Suite. You will build and lead a team across automation, performance, and test data management to ensure release readiness and continuous quality across complex SAP transformation programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of SAP Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SAP program delivery.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing Quality Engineering teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP CAR, SAP Integration Suite, and hybrid landscapes.
• Experience implementing enterprise test automation solutions (e.g., Tricentis Tosca).

Overview

Provide strategic and operational leadership for SAP Quality Engineering across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP CAR, SAP MDG, and boundary applications. Establish quality engineering practices, test automation, release readiness, and continuous quality monitoring to ensure reliable and secure business outcomes. This role partners closely with SAP Platform Engineering, Application Development, Functional Teams, System Integrators, and Business Stakeholders.

Define and execute the SAP Quality Engineering strategy for SAP transformation programs. Establish enterprise testing standards, governance, quality gates, and release readiness criteria. Build and lead Quality Engineering teams across functional, automation, performance, and test data management disciplines. Promote shift-left testing and continuous quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end test strategy across: Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Cutover and Hypercare Validation. Ensure testing aligns with SAP Activate delivery methodology.
• Lead automation strategy leveraging: Tricentis Tosca, SAP CBTA, API automation frameworks, AI-assisted testing capabilities, Maximize reusable automation assets across releases and Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Lead quality engineering for SAP S/4HANA transformations, RISE with SAP migrations, SAP BTP solutions, Integration modernization programs and Ensure quality controls are embedded throughout project lifecycles.
• Lead Integrate testing capabilities within SAP DevSecOps pipelines. Support automated quality gates across Git repositories, CI/CD pipelines, Transport management, Cloud ALM and Azure DevOps.
• Manage quality delivery from SI Partner and other implementation partners and Establish vendor performance expectations and testing accountability. Review resource plans, deliverables, and testing metrics.
• Present quality status, risks, defects, and mitigation plans to leadership. Communicate program health and release readiness. Provide executive-level reporting on test coverage, defect leakage, and quality trends.
• Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to ensure requirements are testable, risks are identified early, and quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Define and govern test strategies, scope, coverage, methodologies, and quality standards for manual and automated testing.
• Evaluate emerging SAP testing technologies. Introduce AI-enabled testing and predictive quality analytics. Drive process optimization and testing efficiency improvements. Establish quality engineering Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Oversee the development, execution, and maintenance of reusable test assets, test data, and testing environments to support efficient and effective validation.
• Lead defect management, root cause analysis, and quality reporting activities to drive continuous improvement and informed decision making.
• Ensure the successful validation of system functionality, integrations, data flows, performance, and business requirements, including user acceptance testing.
• Lead SAP QE Test Leads, Automation Engineers, Tosca Engineers, Performance Testing Engineers, Test Data Management Team and Quality Analysts.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing quality engineering team while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in SAP Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or SAP Program Delivery.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing Quality Engineering teams in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting SAP transformation programs including SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP CAR, SAP Integration Suite, and hybrid application landscapes.
• Experience implementing enterprise test automation solutions such as Tricentis Tosca and SAP testing platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Activate Certification.
• Tricentis Tosca Certification.
• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Experience with RISE with SAP programs.
• Experience with Cloud ALM, Azure DevOps, Jira, and Git-based delivery frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Testing methodologies.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale testing programs within retail, consumer products, supply chain, or distribution industries.

Salary Range:$151,200 - $226,800.

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
