Position Overview

This position reports to the VP of Sales Development. The Sales Development Manager manages a customer sales/support organization, including pricing evaluation, proposal development, market trend analysis, contract review, and conflict resolution. The manager conducts sales and business development functions through customer engagement activities.

Responsibilities

• Capture current and future revenue by developing new business opportunities while growing/maintaining existing business
• Identify and track business opportunities using various external databases
• Review and analyze customer requests for information, solicitations, and RFPs
• Lead the Capture team in the development of customer proposals
• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Promote capabilities and product portfolio during customer engagements
• Perform contract review and initiate post-award requests to the customer
• Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
• Provide tactical support to the VP of Sales Development
• Manage the Customer Support Specialists

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field
• Basic technical knowledge of the manufacturing process
• Excellent ability to work within a team while fostering relationships with internal and external customers
• Proven experience as a Sales Development Manager, sales executive, or a related role
• Proven sales track record
• Experience in customer support is a plus
• Proficiency in MS Office, 365 Teams, CRM, and SAP
• Proficiency in English
• Market knowledge
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to build rapport
• Time management and planning skills
• Experience with FARs and DFARs
