What you’ll do as a Safety Manager

  • You will coordinate and facilitate functions such as issuing safety equipment, conducting safety training programs, onsite inspections of premises or equipment, and investigating accidents or injuries.
  • You will monitor and enforce Health & Safety/OSHA and DOT compliance while interfacing with employees.
  • You will participate in and facilitate program activities including conference calls, workshops, compliance audits, and reporting.
  • You will conduct periodic audits to measure compliance and program effectiveness.
  • You will evaluate safety performance of employees and subcontractors, documenting violations.
  • You will review all inspection reports, establish, and enforce safety guidelines and procedures.
  • You will review injury/illness and incident investigation reports, providing follow-up as necessary.
  • You will perform other duties as assigned by management.

What you’ll need

  • Thorough knowledge of DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a changing environment.
  • Experience providing safety training and implementing safety initiatives.
  • Proven experience presenting training material and leading project groups, including employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • OSHA 10 or 30-hour certifications are preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
