Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a supervisory professional for the cafe at MaineMedical Center to hire, train, and evaluate staff and oversee all cash operations. The role includes developing marketing plans and managing vending and catering services while ensuring cash control processes are secure.

You will assist the Director with budgeting and ensure safety and sanitation of retail areas, contributing to a compliant, customer-focused retail environment across the campus.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degrees in Culinary Arts or Hotel/Motel Management preferred.
• Experience: progressively more responsible experience in food service cash or cafeteria operations including budgeting and supervisory responsibilities; marketing and production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles.
• Ability to provide creative marketing direction and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relations with employees and customers across Maine Medical Center.
• Knowledge of infection control, sanitation and HACCP procedures.
• Knowledge of statistics gathering (surveys, sales, transactions, average checks, etc.).
• Knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting practices.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Knowledge of food preparation and quality/portion control. Associate degrees in Culinary Arts or Hotel/Motel Management are preferred.
• Experience: Progressively more responsible experience in food service cash or cafeteria operations which has included portion and quality control, costing and supervisory responsibilities. Experience including marketing and production responsibilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement principles.

The pay range for this position is $66,123.20to $89,481.60per year.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
