Job description

Stella Rising is a nationally recognized marketing and media services agency creating transformative growth for superstar brands in the consumer middle market.

Stella Rising is seeking a highly motivated Manager, Retail Accounts to support the growth of our brands across retail media networks. In this role, you will manage the strategy and day-to-day account management tactics that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales across the retail landscape. You are a blend of strategist, analyst, and retail expert. You will leverage your deep understanding of the industry to develop data-driven account strategies that achieve client goals. Success in this role requires a strategic thinker with a blend of analytical skills and a deep understanding of the retail marketplace landscape leading to strong client satisfaction and retention. The right candidate must be able to work proficiently in a remote environment but love getting together in person with clients, the team, and at our company-sponsored events.

Regular responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple client relationships including strategy, execution, reporting, and leading client presentations (decks and speaking on calls).
  • Work closely with designated client leads to ensure seamless collaboration, execution, and communication ensuring account strategies align with holistic key goals and objectives (80%+ of your time should be dedicated towards your clients and client teams).
  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of account strategies (focused on Amazon 1P and 3P marketplaces) that align with business goals, target audience insights, and industry trends and best practices by conducting keyword research, competitive analysis, analysis of historic performance, as well as any other analysis that are relevant to the client’s business.
  • Apply and advance account management best practices to ensure all appropriate opportunities for clients are being utilized, including but not limited to: Coupons, Subscribe & Save, Virtual Bundles, A/B Testing, image uploads, Amazon Posts, Brand Tailored Promotions, Review Generation (including Vine).
  • Ensure ecommerce PDPs are “retail ready,” including the oversight and implementation of PDP Copy, A+ Content, and Brand Stores.
  • Track key performance metrics daily and generate regular performance reports, including competitive category analysis/scorecards, and identify meaningful/actionable insights, highlighting successes and areas of opportunity, adjusting campaign strategies, promotions, and other parameters to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with retail partners to ensure seamless account management, proactive issue resolution, and the achievement of mutual goals (increased sales, brand visibility, etc.).
  • Conduct daily store walks, MTD tracking, catalog reviews for account suppressions & policy violations.
  • Complete Amazon certifications, including Amazon Ads Advanced Retail Certification, Sponsored Ads Certification, Amazon Video Ads Certification, and Amazon DSP Certification.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and new features/promotions as they are released across the various retail marketplace platforms.
  • Contribute to agency thought leadership via blog articles, white papers, and/or case studies.
  • Attend industry conferences and webinars.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record of managing successful retail accounts and delivering ecommerce revenue growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely and lead client-facing calls.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with the ability to solve client concerns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets.
  • Advanced proficiency in retail marketplaces (Amazon Vendor Central & Amazon Seller Central).
  • Proficiency in retail tools (e.g., Keepa, Feedback Five, Helium10, Jungle Scout).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Proficiency with project management software a plus (e.g., Asana).
