Job Description

The Shelter Solutions Business, part of DuPont Water & Protection, includes Corian Design and Performance Building Solutions. It provides solutions enhancing building performance and aesthetics worldwide, with brands like Great Stuff, Froth-Pak, Styrofoam, Tyvek, and Corian Design. A key segment is the Shelter Solutions Home Improvement Business, which sells to North American retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Menards.

The Home Improvement National Account Manager (NAM) manages relationships with large, strategic retail customers in the hardware and home improvement sector. Responsibilities include implementing retail strategies, achieving sales and margin targets, and supporting strategic account objectives. The role involves representing DuPont’s product range, leading account planning, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and growth targets.

Key duties include data analysis for forecasting, managing new product launches, assortment changes, pricing, promotions, and inventory management to optimize sales. Success requires retail category expertise, customer presentation skills, planogram leadership, and the ability to articulate customer opportunities and value propositions. The role focuses on corporate and key buying locations, working closely with field teams and external partners, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with critical retail accounts, demonstrating business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Achieve or exceed sales, revenue, and margin goals, supporting growth of licensed products.
  • Lead key account teams, coordinating with various support functions to meet goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use data and analytics for forecasting and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for both physical stores and eCommerce channels.
  • Participate in customer events, line reviews, and partnership discussions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities aligned with retail strategies.
  • Manage customer contracts, rebate, and co-op programs.
  • Monitor competitive developments and share insights with the team.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Four-year college degree.
  • At least five years of national account management experience with The Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Menards.
  • Experience in construction, hardware, or building industries.
  • Retail reporting and data analytics skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% for customer engagements.
Preferred:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Inquisitive, accountable, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven cross-functional partnership skills.

Location: Remote options available; preferred locations include Charlotte, NC; Midland, MI; Wilmington, DE.
