Job Description:

The Shelter Solutions Business, part of DuPont Water & Protection, includes brands like Corian Design, Styrofoam, Tyvek, and others. It serves interior and exterior building needs worldwide. The Shelter Solutions Home Improvement Business sells to North American retailers such as The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Menards.

The Home Improvement National Account Manager (NAM) manages relationships with large retail customers, mainly in hardware and home improvement sectors. Responsibilities include implementing retail strategies, achieving sales and margin goals, and supporting strategic account objectives.

The NAM represents DuPont’s products and services, leads account planning, and coordinates with teams to meet customer needs and growth targets. Key tasks involve data analysis for forecasts, managing product launches, pricing, promotions, and inventory to boost sales. Strong retail management, presentation skills, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with critical retail accounts, building relationships and strategic planning.
  • Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and margin targets.
  • Lead account teams, collaborating with support functions to satisfy customer needs.
  • Use data analytics for forecasting and strategy refinement.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across channels.
  • Participate in customer meetings, store walks, and line reviews.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage customer contracts, rebate, and co-op programs.
  • Monitor competitive activity and share insights.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Four-year degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least five years of national account management experience with The Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Menards.
  • Experience in construction/hardware/building industry.
  • Retail reporting and data analytics skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.
Preferred:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive, accountable, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Successful cross-functional partnership experience.

Location: Remote, with preferred sites in Charlotte, NC; Midland, MI; Wilmington, DE.
