Job summary

Skills of Central PA in Carlisle/Mechanicsburg area seeks a Residential Program Manager to lead community home services and help people live more independently. You will supervise Team Leaders and Direct Support Professionals, develop and direct services, participate in strategic planning, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and program standards while fostering person-centered practices.

  • Associate degree or 60 credit hours with 4 years' experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Team Leaders and Direct Support Professionals in assigned Community Homes.
  • Plan, organize, develop and direct overall service delivery in compliance with standards.

About the Manager Position

Provides the support and assistance to people we support to achieve skills necessary to live independently within the community and to create conditions within the homes to facilitate growth and self-awareness.

The Manager of Community Home Services is responsible for supervision and oversight of the Team Leaders and Direct Support Professionals in the assigned Community Homes. The Manager plans, organizes, develops and directs the overall delivery of services in accordance with current federal, state, and program standards, guidelines and regulations as well as organizational policy and procedure. The Manager also recommends changes that would improve services performed.

4. Participates when assigned in developing company Strategic Plans; participates as a management team member in fulfilling the organization’s Strategic Plan.

About the Hours:

This position is primarily first shift; however a lot of flexibility is needed. During times of staffing issues, call-offs, the needs of the program, increases in demand, etc. this position will be required to provide the hands‑on supports and services to the people who receive our services. This position requires an on-call rotation. This is an on‑site, in office position and is not a remote position.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A residential program manager shall have one of the following groups of qualifications:

  1. A master’s degree or above from an accredited college or university and 1-year work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability.
  2. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years' work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability.
  3. An associate degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years' work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability.
