Job Description

Provides guidance and direction to the Repair Technician group. Manages team efforts to repair and test mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Ensures team has the required drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and written and oral instructions to understand and perform repair and/or test activities. Ensures work meets established technical, product, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides clear and concise direction regularly to Repair Technician supervisors and teams.
• Identifies recurring trends, difficult-to-resolve problems, and potential issues, especially with new system releases or hardware/software upgrades.
• Ensures end-to-end support to address identified and potential issues.
• Resolves key issues raised by supervisors and teams, referring complex issues to technical colleagues as needed.
• Ensures team members receive ongoing technical, operational, and product training.
• Establishes overall work processes and priorities.
• Allocates resources, including people and budgets.
• Incorporates lean concepts and engages with workers, being forward-thinking and metrics-driven.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 6-8 years of experience in Repair Technician roles and 0-2 years in leadership.
• Fluent in business English (written and spoken).
