Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Manager, Release & Change Engineering to oversee end-to-end software releases in a remote US-based setting. You will lead high-risk releases, govern changes, and drive reliability through metrics, retrospectives, and strong governance.

The role requires 5+ years in Release Engineering/DevOps with multi-team production deployments, proficiency in CI/CD tools, and excellent stakeholder communication. Remote role with US-based candidates only and visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Release Engineering or DevOps with multi-team deployments.
  • Hands-on with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience leading Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ITIL change management.
  • Excellent communication with stakeholders, technical and non-technical.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end release process across production environments.
  • Lead as Release Manager for high-risk releases and go/no-go decisions.
  • Validate production readiness including rollback procedures.
  • Run retrospectives post-release to identify improvements and actions.
  • Chair the Change Advisory Board and ensure governance of changes.
  • Manage the lifecycle of change types and enforce control integrity.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to track release and change success rates.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Manager, Release & Change Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space.

This role will guide the end-to-end release process across production environments, with a strong focus on deployment sequencing, readiness, and change governance. The position will partner closely with engineering, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to reduce risk and improve the reliability of production changes. It is well suited for a leader who can balance technical rigor with practical decision-making in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Manager will also own the processes and metrics that help teams deliver changes safely and consistently, while driving continuous improvement through retrospectives and control discipline.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $131,000 – $150,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end software release process, ensuring efficient deployment sequencing
