Ascension in Kyle, TX is seeking a Nursing Manager for the Med Surg unit. Day Shift, full-time role leading a team of nurses and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role oversees regulatory compliance, quality initiatives, staff development, and budgeting while maintaining patient and physician satisfaction. A BSN and Texas RN licensure with at least 3 years of experience, including 1 year in leadership, are required.

Qualifications

• BSN required; RN license in Texas prior to hire.
• 3 years of nursing experience; 1 year in leadership/management.
• Texas RN license and BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
• Develops and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
• Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
• Ensures a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
• Conducts hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Work Experience

• 3 years of experience required. 1 year of leadership or management experience required.
