Job summary

Scientific Search is seeking a Manager, Procurement - Supply Chain in Emeryville, CA to lead sourcing for development and GMP manufacturing, build supplier partnerships, and shape procurement strategy in a regulated environment.

You will negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Finance and leadership to deliver cost savings and robust supply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CDMO, or life sciences procurement environments.
  • Strong understanding of global supply chain operations and regulated manufacturing requirements.
  • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and manage strategic supplier relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, project management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies supporting development and GMP manufacturing operations.
  • Lead sourcing activities for raw materials, equipment, and critical services.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and manage key vendor relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to forecast demand and support supply planning.
  • Implement process improvements and procurement technologies to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends and supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Manage procurement budgets and deliver cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to address supply chain vulnerabilities.
