Job summary

A biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative cancer treatments is seeking a Manager of Sourcing and Procurement. You’ll report directly to the CFO, lead a small team, and play an important role in managing supplier relationships, indirect procurement, contract renewals, and cost-saving initiatives.

You’ll oversee the full procurement lifecycle, manage a $15M annual spend, and ensure GMP-aligned practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Experience managing at least $15 million in annual spend.
• Experience with a large supplier base; ~400+ suppliers preferred.
• Hands-on RFQ, RFP, strategic-sourcing, supplier-selection, negotiation, and contracting experience.
• Indirect procurement and ERP experience.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements.
• Experience writing SOPs, policies, procedures, or guidelines.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Seal Beach four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a Buyer and Senior Financial Analyst.
• Lead the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing through contract renewal.
• Oversee procurement activities for at least $15 million in annual spend.
• Support a large and complex supplier base.
• Develop and execute RFQs and RFPs.
• Evaluate suppliers and lead selection decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, and commercial agreements.
• Manage supplier performance and resolve issues of cost and service.
• Support indirect procurement and capital projects.
• Identify cost-reduction and cost-avoidance opportunities.
• Develop procurement SOPs, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Partner with Finance and executive leadership to align procurement with GMP requirements.

• Partner closely with Finance and executive leadership.
• Support procurement practices that align with GMP requirements.
