Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) is seeking a proactive leader to join our Procurement team, owning software spend and category management in a global organization.

You will negotiate large-scale software agreements, mentor analysts, and collaborate with legal, finance, and stakeholders to drive cost reductions while maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate combines strategic sourcing expertise with strong analytics and exceptional communication to deliver value across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years indirect procurement experience managing software spend in a global organization.
• Proven success negotiating complex software agreements, pricing, licensing, and terms.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret large data sets and drive insights.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate with legal, finance and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the software procurement category, all related spend and processes
• Lead negotiation and contract management for large-scale, complex software agreements, driving stronger commercial terms, meaningful cost reductions, and lower risk exposure
• Work closely with stakeholders, the legal team, senior leadership, and suppliers to define requirements and strategize on contract negotiations
• Lead, mentor and support a team of Procurement Analysts
• Proactively analyze full category spend with the goal of increasing efficiencies, reducing costs and improving terms
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement practices and supplier relationships
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities
• Learn the specifics of all purchasing categories and be able to back up other team members as necessary

Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of indirect Procurement experience in managing the software purchasing spend category at a large global organization
• Demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value software agreements, including pricing, licensing, and commercial terms
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large data sets and drive actionable insights
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple competing and critical deadlines
• Must be efficient in problem solving and identifying workarounds
• Must possess sound judgment and meet ethical obligations to perform purchasing duties on behalf of the company
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Cloud, ServiceNow, Tableau, and AI-driven process automation.
