Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned healthcare operations executive to lead orthopedic practice groups, drive operational excellence, and deliver patient experiences aligned with SLPG standards.

You will lead the employee lifecycle, ensure clinical and administrative readiness, coordinate cross‑functional workflows, monitor performance metrics, and guide multidisciplinary improvement initiatives for sustained growth and quality care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health or business administration and three years of office management experience, including one year in a health care organization; OR master's degree and one year of office management experience, including one year in a health care organization; OR associate degree and eight years of office management experience, including one year in a health care organization; OR high school diploma and eight years of office management experience, including one year in a health care organization
  • Medical practice management experience across business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management, organizational governance, patient care systems, risk management, and quality management
  • Strong direct performance management, tact, and financial acumen
  • Basic knowledge of CLIA, HIPAA, NCQA, and OSHA medical office regulations
  • Strong business acumen
  • Skilled in all forms of communication
  • Ability to develop self and others
  • Leadership presence/EQ and ability to present as a composed and competent leader
  • Quality-focused and patient/customer-service focused
  • Ability to share a compelling strategy that inspires others

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operations of assigned orthopedic practices
  • Ensure successful practice operations, operational workflow execution, and patient experience consistent with SLPG standards
  • Perform leadership and managerial functions across the employee life cycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, development, and recognition
  • Ensure operational readiness for clinical and administrative operations, including schedules, supplies, equipment, cleanliness, daily huddles, time management systems, and Point of Care licensing
  • Manage workflows, employee collaboration, and overall patient experience
  • Partner with Billing/Coding, Facilities/Property Management, hospital departments, Access Center, and centralized functions
  • Coordinate transfers, triage protocols, template changes, huddles, and practice connectivity
  • Escalate and address critical operational, technological, patient, and employee issues
  • Achieve expected financial performance through expense management, resource utilization, volume growth, and financial management practices
  • Monitor practice performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement multidisciplinary improvement strategies
  • Utilize practice leads to oversee workflows and processes
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and SLPG Access Governance Principles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's degree in health or business administration
Master's degree in health or business administration
Associate degree in health or business administration
High school diploma with 8 years office management experience
