Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate people on a mission to make design accessible to all. Born on the Web, Figma helps entire product teams brainstorm, design, and build better products — from start to finish. Whether it’s consolidating tools, simplifying workflows, or collaborating across teams and time zones, Figma makes the design process faster, more efficient, and fun while keeping everyone on the same page. From great products to long-lasting companies, we believe that nothing great is made alone—come make with us!

We’re looking for a hands-on Manager, People Operations with a passion for building and developing global people processes to support scale. You’ll also grow and develop a team focused on building and executing global processes. If you’re excited about building for scale and working alongside an amazing people team during a time of growing maturity, this role could be for you! We’ve spent the past few years building foundational processes - now comes the fun part of building, automating, and standardizing global processes across the employee lifecycle.

This is a full-time role based in our SF Hub.

What you'll do at Figma:
  • Manage, develop, and centralize a team of U.S., EMEA, and JAPAC POps professionals responsible for answering Figmate inquiries and building and executing core people processes including onboarding, global time tracking, benefits administration, regional expansions, departures, and more.
  • Partner with COEs to assess and update existing people programs, processes, workflows, and practices.
  • Partner with benefits and payroll to build global LOA processes; be a point of escalation for your team.
  • Lead complex cross-functional people projects - everything from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and drive innovative solutions to enhance the Figmate experience.
  • Oversee the People Ops ticketing system; analyze ticket data to assess program effectiveness and assess process changes.
  • Build a roadmap and prioritization process for continued development of our processes and programs across geographies.
  • Build consistent operating norms and templates across the team.
  • Enable team to support in-person onboarding program.
  • Ensure compliance with global legal requirements and internal policies.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • 5+ years in a people operations/process improvement role; 2+ years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and familiarity with global employment law and compliance.
  • Experience managing HR processes including onboarding, data changes, compliance trainings, regional expansion, time tracking, and off-boarding.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging Workday and other systems to automate and streamline processes.
  • Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional projects from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with global benefits.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
  • Experience managing a global People Ops team.
  • Experience building a team roadmap.

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
