Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day administration and execution of sync licensing requests across a diverse music catalogue
• Review incoming licensing enquiries and assess rights, ownership, territory and usage requirements
• Negotiate and coordinate licensing terms, fees and usage details in line with company guidelines
• Draft, review and process sync licences, agreements and related documentation
• Liaise with clients, production companies, agencies, music supervisors and other external partners throughout the licensing process
• Work closely with internal copyright, royalties and administration teams to ensure accurate rights information and deal completion
• Maintain accurate records of licences, agreements, fees and usage details
• Track the progress of licensing requests and ensure contracts and payments are completed in a timely manner
• Support the resolution of licensing, rights and contractual queries
• Ensure all licensing activity complies with relevant rights, contractual and company requirements
• Provide reporting and updates on licensing activity where required

Hyered is representing a well-established, independent international music publisher in the search for a Manager, Sync Licensing to join its Los Angeles team.

This is a licensing-focused role, responsible for managing the day-to-day administration and execution of sync licensing opportunities across film, television, advertising, digital media and other visual media.

About You

• Experience working in music licensing, sync licensing, music publishing or a closely related rights-focused environment
• Strong understanding of music rights, copyright, ownership and licensing processes
• Experience managing licensing agreements and negotiations from enquiry through to execution
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple deals simultaneously
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills
• Commercially minded with a good understanding of licensing fees and deal structures
• Comfortable working collaboratively across legal, copyright, royalties and administration functions
• Experience with music publishing systems and databases would be advantageous
• A genuine interest in the music publishing and licensing industry
