Manager of Student Services and Evaluation
Salary Range: $20 to $21.50 per hour

Position Summary: Assumes responsibility for the support of student academic progress through the Office of the Registrar, primarily through technical and functional use the University’s databases of record. Responsible for updating student records, performing degree evaluations, and awarding of student degrees in assigned college. Performs all duties in full support of the University’s mission, understanding that the positive and effective execution of these duties are instrumental to the education of the University’s students.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages student academic progress in Degree Works. Supports the Assistant Registrar in their work managing Degree Works, including assisting with upgrades, testing, data reporting and training.
- Also collaborates with the Assistant Registrar in identifying areas for improvement for services within the scope of responsibility, which may include new approaches and processes that help promote efficiencies for the Office of the Registrar and University.
- Serves as a liaison between students and department heads to resolve academic discrepancies, deficiencies in student progress, potential corrective measures and other academic issues as necessary and/or appropriate.
- Evaluates student academic records. Updates transfer credits into Banner, per college determination. Reviews and/or updates records and related student information used for enrollment, academic statistics, programs and/or scholarship.
- Assists in the development and implementation of procedures and forms regarding students.
- Manages multiple priorities under established time constraints.
- Handles highly sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.
- Establishes, cultivates and maintains effective working relationships with various internal and external constituencies. Supports Registrar personnel as needed, in one or more of the following areas, scheduling, commencement, Acalog, academic reporting.
- Maintains departmental files that are accurate and in compliance with record keeping policies. Also files student academic program data to ensure the integrity of the database in compliance with established policies as well as data integrity standards. Represents the Office of the Registrar on committees as necessary and appropriate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
