Overview

The Payroll Manager contributes to the Foundation's profitability and asset protection by overseeing the payroll function.

Qualifications

Certifications: N/A

Education: Experience in lieu of formal education; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred

Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years in accounting

Responsibilities

1. Manage all activities related to payroll, including supervising staff and ensuring timely, accurate payments.
2. Develop and maintain payroll systems, including upgrades and evaluations for improvements.
3. Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations and oversee related reporting.
4. Coordinate with HR on incentive bonuses and manage payroll deductions and contributions.
5. Prepare payroll-related reports for tax, audit, and internal purposes.
6. Maintain internal controls, perform problem resolution, and conduct staff performance evaluations.
7. Work with auditors and internal teams to ensure payroll integrity and compliance.
8. Manage year-end payroll processes, including W-2s and tax filings.
9. Develop payroll policies and procedures, and provide training as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
