Job Description
THE ROLE
LEAD Charter School seeks an exceptional Manager of Operations (MO) to join our mission-driven community. The MO ensures implementation and maintenance of clear systems so students, families and staff have the information and resources they need to succeed. This includes managing the school’s main office, ordering supplies, and disbursing key communications to stakeholders.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree required in Education, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively, solve problems, and adapt to changing situations.
- Familiarity with budget management and resource allocation.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees the ongoing operations at the school with the DOO;
- Manages various operational staff to maintain and safe, orderly, and efficient education environment;
- Creates a detailed start-up checklist and ordering list to ensure that the school starts each year prepared and fully stocked;
- Works closely with the facilities department to oversee the school’s physical condition of LEAD facilities;
- Works with the technology department and outside service providers to ensure that the school has a fully functioning technology infrastructure;
- Manages student information database system and generates reports as needed;
- Manage student bus transportation with the board of education for daily school schedule, early dismissal and for field trips/special events.
- Manage the school’s food program which includes preparing monthly meal calendars, submitting monthly reimbursements to the business office, ensuring all students have daily meals, distributing & collecting lunch applications to all students, collecting & entering meal funds, communicating with families, managing the food service staff and ensuring that they are properly trained annually.
- Ensures school-wide compliance with health and safety laws, charter contracts, and all federal and state workplace regulations.
- Work with Special Projects Coordinator and School Office Associates to ensure effective procurement systems are maintained including school inventory.
- Works with appropriate staff to provide school schedules, class rosters, and testing rosters;
- Manages relationships with all outside organizations and leads the school’s efforts to partner with community leaders and organizations (i.e. state and local agencies);
- Oversee RIE (Recruitment, Intake & Enrollment) process including student admission applications and maintains waitlist with the support of operations and recruitment staff;
- Manages and oversee data reporting for various stakeholders at the school, local, state, federal, and private entity level;
- Manages and oversee student attendance data and daily reporting
- Works closely with School Nurses to maintain student medical records, medical supplies and school nurse office inventory.
- Plan and support logistics and preparations for school events and activities as needed . (i.e setting up/breaking down for special events, parent teacher conferences, coordinating field trips & site visits, etc.).
- Active member of the school safety team
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Professional Expectations
- Assumes responsibility for his/her continuing professional growth and development by attendance at professional meetings, memberships in professional organizations, enrollment in advanced courses and by reading professional journals and other publications.
- Attends LEAD staff meetings, staff development activities, and other special activities and functions.
- Performs other duties, which may be assigned by direct supervisor or required by law, code, regulation, and board policy.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Salary to be recommended by the LEAD’s Management Team and approved by the Board.
EVALUATION
- Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
