Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Development Manager to support de novo and small-format hospital development, joint ventures, bed expansions, and acquisitions. You will help prepare market analyses, build financial models, and draft RFP responses to assist in project evaluation.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in business or finance and a minimum of 3 years in healthcare finance, strategy, or corporate development, with strong analytical and presentation skills.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare finance, strategy, or corporate development, or in investment banking or management consulting with healthcare focus.
• Translate complex strategies and ideas into an easily understandable narrative and presentation.
• Evaluating or preparing financial statements or pro formas.
• Analyzing data and drawing conclusions regarding risks and opportunities.
• Strong project management experience.

Position Purpose

The Development Department is responsible for ensuring the company's growth objectives are met through de novo and small format hospital development, joint ventures, bed expansions, and acquisitions. The Manager will be responsible for preparing the market and financial analyses necessary for project evaluation, assisting with project management functions, preparing portions of presentations and reports for both internal and external purposes, and drafting RFP responses. The Manager of Development will report to a Vice President of Development.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

• Takes an active role in assisting with and learning all aspects of the business development process.
• Assists Directors and Vice Presidents of Development with project management functions.
• Prepares the market and financial analyses necessary for project evaluation.
• Completes market research to prepare the team for internal and external presentations.
• Prepares portions of presentation materials and reports for both internal and external purposes.
• Works with the Development team to develop financial models.
• Assists with the internal due diligence process.
• Drafts RFP responses.

This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the following:

• Working in healthcare finance, strategy, or corporate development, or
• experience in investment banking, management consulting or a similar field, preferably with a focus on healthcare.
• Translating complex strategies and ideas into an easily understandable narrative
• and presentation.
• Evaluating or preparing financial statements or pro formas.
• Analyzing data and drawing conclusions regarding the risks and opportunities.
• Project management.
