Job description

MANAGER NEONATAL SALES (Senior sales role to start) - WEST

Location: Hybrid Remote, (CA Preferred)

Drive Growth. Build Relationships. Make an Impact.
The Kleinbach Group (TKG)

is partnering with a growing medical technology company bringing a first-of-its-kind point-of-care diagnostic device to the neonatal healthcare market.

Our client is an innovator in point-of-care coagulation diagnostics, developing technology that delivers lab-quality results in minutes at the bedside — eliminating the delays of traditional lab-based testing. Their device recently received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation, the first ever granted for a neonatal coagulation device, positioning the company to bring a transformative diagnostic solution to one of healthcare's most vulnerable patient populations: premature and newborn infants.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultative, growth-minded sales and business development professional who thrives on building new markets, forging strategic partnerships, and making a meaningful impact in an emerging segment of healthcare.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
  • Ground-floor opportunity with a company at a true inflection point — small, founder-led, and entrepreneurial, with significant growth and category-leadership potential
  • First-mover position in an underserved, high-impact segment of neonatal healthcare diagnostics
  • FDA Breakthrough Device Designation creates a genuine competitive and credibility advantage
  • Remote position with significant autonomy and ownership of your territory
  • Opportunity to shape a brand-new commercial function from the ground up
  • Meaningful impact — helping bring a diagnostic tool to market that can reduce unnecessary transfusions and improve outcomes for premature and newborn infants
  • Competitive compensation with equity upside in a growing private company
What You'll Be Doing

As Manager, Neonatal Sales, you will drive extended growth opportunities across your territory, resulting in new revenue streams, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and capitalize on new markets and business opportunities within your territory
  • Lead regional market research efforts to identify market trends and understand customer needs
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with potential clients, partners, and distributors to secure strategic partnerships
  • Prepare RFPs, business presentations, and other materials to support business development activities
  • Negotiate contracts with partners and potential clients, ensuring favorable terms for the company
  • Track the success of business development initiatives through measurable KPIs and report regularly to senior management
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders to align strategies and achieve company goals
  • Oversee forecasting and planning activities aligned with the company's broader business development strategy
Ideal Candidate Profile

We're seeking a driven, relationship-focused business development professional who enjoys building new markets from the ground up and thrives in a consultative, strategic selling environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible management experience in business administration, sales, and sales management (domestic)
  • BA, MBA, or equivalent work experience leading complex businesses
  • Strong track record of success in business development, with experience in lead generation and market research
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with stakeholders, distributors, and potential clients
  • Strong market analysis, data collection, ROI, and presentation skills — able to identify and communicate opportunities through complex information
  • Existing hospital, physician, or healthcare industry relationships strongly preferred; NICU/neonatal or point-of-care diagnostics experience a plus
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable operating with significant autonomy
Preferred Locations

Candidates should be located within the Western U.S.,

Additional states within the territory may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Travel Requirements
  • Domestic: ~50% of work time
  • International: ~25% of work time
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Commission Structure
  • Equity / Stock Options
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package (including fully company-paid health insurance)
  • Remote Work Environment
  • Career Growth Opportunities within a rapidly scaling organization

Compensation may be adjusted based on experience, market location, and overall qualifications.
