Responsibilities
The Marketing and Communications Manager – Media is responsible for developing and executing integrated media strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and support business objectives. This role works in coordination with the Enterprise media team to manage cross-channel campaigns, oversees content alignment and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-impact positioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and manages multi-channel media strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversees the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns (e.g., digital ads, advertising, sponsorships, search).
- Cultivates earned media through public relations, partnerships, influencer outreach, and media engagement.
- Collaborates with content manager and creative teams to produce compelling content.
- In coordination with the Marketing and Communications Manager – Operations, identified and monitors KPIs across all media types and generates insights for continuous improvement.
- Ensures message consistency and brand alignment
- Works with marketing and communications liaisons to manage relationships with agencies, vendors, and media partners.
- Oversees dedicated senior specialists focused on paid/owned and earned media planning and execution.
Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience.Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate in a way that creates clarity, simplifies messages, and aligns with organizational strategy. Knowledge of channels for communication and the ability to build effective communication and engagement strategies.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently identify opportunities, solutions and resolve challenges. Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results. Requires an attitude that actively seeks out change, embraces critical questioning, innovation, service and continuous improvement. Must understand how to deal with and navigate ambiguity, and act without having the total picture. Adaptable or flexible. Demonstration of strong management skills including strategy and visioning, change management, resource management, and sound judgment are required. Demonstrated use of management principles of delegation, organization and execution to maximize the value of projects and initiatives is also essential. Excellent interpersonal skills to include presentation, negotiation, persuasion, team facilitation, constructive feedback and written communications skills are required. Superior project management experience, knowledge and skills must be demonstrated. Incumbent must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities. Demonstrates interest in continuous learning and professional development, in addition to functional area expertise.
