Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Manager, Logistics (Event Management) to join our Global Events Team. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing a wide range of events that align with enterprise objectives and elevate the attendee experience. Working closely with internal stakeholders, senior executives, and cross-functional teams, this position plays a key role in delivering world-class events that reflect industry trends and embody the values of Equinix.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a dynamic environment, is exceptionally detail-oriented, and combines strategic thinking with creative innovation. The position requires the unique ability to both think creatively, pushing the boundaries of what is possible, while serving the best interests of our stakeholders. Responsibilities

  1. Event Strategy
  • Implement event goals, audience targeting, and success metrics (KPIs)
  • Support the implementation of event strategies, frameworks, and best practices across planning and execution
  • Stay informed on industry trends to help optimize engagement and event design
  • Analyze event outcomes and provide actionable insights to inform future planning and continuous improvement
  • Event Planning
    • Lead the end-to-end planning process for corporate meetings and events
    • Build and manage event budgets and timelines
    • Lead internal and external planning calls across the full event lifecycle
    • Oversee vendor relationships and ensure timely deliverables
    • Maintain compliance with fiscal and legal standards
    • Share innovative ideas and best practices to enhance team performance
  • Event Sourcing
    • Collaborate with Attendee Management to support hotel sourcing
    • Partner with non-hotel venues (off-site locations, restaurants, etc.) to secure optimal locations in alignment with event needs, support contract finalization, and coordinate logistics
  • Event Design & Content
    • Engage with the Content Team, including presentations and digital platforms
    • Contribute to communication strategies (web, email, apps, invitations)
    • Create innovative event designs tailored to audience needs
    • Guide theme development, agenda creation, and program flow
  • Registration & Attendee Management
    • Engage with the Attendee Management team building registration sites, rooming lists, and attendee reports
    • Develop post-event surveys and reporting dashboards
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Create, maintain, and analyze detailed metrics reports for performance tracking and budget management
    • Contribute to post-event reports and debriefs to assess outcomes and areas for improvement
  • Leadership & Influence
    • Model and promote Equinix culture and values
    • Build trust with stakeholders through proactive communication and accountability
    • Adapt plans to navigate changing priorities or challenges

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in corporate event management (or equivalent experience)
    • Proven success in leading large-scale, multi-day events
    • Strong financial and project management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
    • Ability to manage competing priorities with poise and professionalism
