Job Title: Freight Broker (With Book of Business)

Location: Remote- TX and OK preferred

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Base + Commission (based on experience and book of business) Range of base 75 K- 80K

We are a leading logistics and transportation provider specializing in reliable freight solutions across North America. With a strong foothold in Manufacturing and Energy/Oil & Gas sectors, we are seeking experienced Freight Brokers who can hit the ground running and contribute to our growing network.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a driven and experienced Freight Broker with an existing customer base to join our logistics team. This individual will be responsible for managing freight operations, maintaining strong customer relationships, and expanding business opportunities using their current book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your existing network of customers to book and manage freight shipments.
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with shippers and carriers.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules and ensure timely transportation of goods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers to ensure capacity and service levels.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or documentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both shippers and carriers.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing strategies to stay competitive.
  • Maintain accurate records of all brokerage activities using TMS or CRM platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a freight broker or logistics coordinator.
  • Existing book of business or established customer base (required).
  • Strong knowledge of transportation industry, lanes, and pricing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with TMS systems, Microsoft Office, and/or CRM tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
