Qualifications

• Typically requires 5 years of experience in a medical environment performing medical verbal and written interpretation and translation.
• Includes 1 year of supervisory experience in a medical environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and accountability for translation and interpretation systems system-wide.
• Oversees quality monitoring and improvement initiatives for language services.
• Develops budget with the director and monitors variances.
• Establishes relationships with management, staff and medical staff to support LEP patients and Deaf/HOH.
• Designs activities to promote Translation and Interpretation Services within the health system.
• Performs HR duties including coaching, performance reviews and staff development.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation requirements.
