Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Compute Services (ECS) organization is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager to lead our IT Performance Intelligence Team supporting Enterprise Server and Storage infrastructure services. The Performance Intelligence Manager acts as a key driver in ensuring IT systems operate at peak efficiency and align with business objectives. The role focuses on overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of performance monitoring and reporting tools, ensuring the delivery of actionable insight to enhance IT systems, processes, and services. This role is 100% virtual/work from home, preferably near a major Northrop Grumman location. Working virtually is subject to change based upon business conditions.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with IT leadership to align performance intelligence strategies with business goals
Drive initiatives to enhance IT service delivery by leveraging data-driven insights
Collect, analyze, and use data from various sources to help make informed decisions
Propose business strategy by using data and analytics to anticipate changes and drive results
Identify potential risks and challenges by analyzing data trends
Create reports and presentations that use data visualization and storytelling to communicate findings to stakeholders
Create processes for effective data analysis and reporting
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Develop and oversee the implementation of IT performance metrics and KPIs
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of IT performance dashboards to stakeholders
Monitor trends, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend solutions
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on performance goals
Release and Change Management:
Develop and oversee the release process within an agile framework
Lead the planning, coordinating, communicating, and managing of the entire release process
Plan release cycles, managing risks, and closely monitoring progress
Develop and oversee engagement and development needed to gain adoption and support implementation of changes
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of service performance
Foster a collaborative team culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Manage team workloads, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources
Promote a culture that values and uses data in decision-making
Process Optimization & Compliance:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance IT system performance
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or Data Analytics with 8 years of experience or Master of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree with 6 years of relevant experience OR an Associates Degree in a STEM field with 10 years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in IT performance management, analytics, or similar role
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in analyzing complex datasets to extract actionable insights
Demonstrated strong leadership qualities
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure performance monitoring tools
Proficiency working in server and storage infrastructure environments
Experience with SAFe Agile practices
Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of programming languages like SQL or Python
Risk and Opportunity Management experience
Agile Certifications
Knowledge of IT security procedures
Salary Range: $129,300 - $193,900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, and paid time off (PTO).
