Join a dynamic startup insurance business as an interim IT Operations Manager.

We are seeking a leader with a strong background in operations management, supplier management, end-user support, and infrastructure. Reporting to the Global Head of IT Operations, you will build the US IT Operations function to oversee technology vendor management across the US business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage IT operations across infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and end-user support.
• Oversee MSP relationships and identify in-sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure service quality through incident, problem, and change management (ITIL).
• Govern service delivery to meet KPIs and SLAs.
• Maintain system performance and resilience.
• Collaborate with security, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Oversee vendor contracts and asset management.
• Support compliance, audit readiness, and IT governance.

Key Requirements:

• Significant IT operations experience; prior experience building IT operations is advantageous.
• Insurance or regulated financial services experience; startup/scale-up experience is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Azure), and IT service management.
• Proven MSP management and transition leadership.
• Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps, CASM.
• Experience with process maturity frameworks and audits.
• Results-driven and proactive mindset.
• Exposure to “follow the sun” support models.
• Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving abilities.

This is a startup business with no US office at present; plans to open an office on the Eastern seaboard in H2 of 2025.
