The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) is seeking a Manager of Development, Individual Giving and Events to lead the individual donor program, major donor strategy, and fundraising events, including the annual gala. The role reports to the Director of Donor Engagement and Events and manages a donor portfolio.

Based in New York City, the position is hybrid with four days in the office and one day remote; some travel within New York State is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in development, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
• Experience with donor relations, gift entry and acknowledgement management.
• Experience in project management for events and donor activations; Asana experience preferred.
• Proven record of success with fundraising through major gifts and donor cultivation.
• Experience with database management; Salesforce a plus.
• Knowledge of issues facing immigrants in New York and familiarity with funders supporting immigrant issues.
• Strong interpersonal and written communications skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail; good team player; proactive and adaptable.
• Proficiency in Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, or another language is an asset.
• Experience managing staff, fellows, or interns is an advantage.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Manage the development database, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), donor pipelines, and workflows.
• Oversee backend fundraising processes, gift processing, data integrity, and reporting infrastructure.
• Collaborate with leadership to streamline moves management and donor journeys; maintain donor portfolios.
• Project-manage all appeals, fundraising campaigns, and event timelines via Asana.
• Support planning and execution of fundraising events from small donor to gala levels.
• Write and manage materials for donor outreach (appeals, annual report, project one-pagers).
• Manage online store operations and production of custom gift-with-donation items.
• Ensure Salesforce, MailChimp, and ActBlue are optimized for NYIC use and reporting.
