Job summary

The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) invites a Manager of Development, Individual Giving and Events in New York City. The role focuses on growing the individual donor program, major gifts, and coordinating fundraising events, including the annual gala, under supervision of the Director of Donor Engagement and Events.

With 3–5 years in nonprofit fund-raising, you will manage data, support moves management, and help pursue ambitious fundraising goals while working in a hybrid office setting

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in development or fundraising in nonprofit sector.
• Experience with donor relations, gift entry and acknowledgement management.
• Experience with events and donor activations; Asana experience preferred.
• Knowledge of issues facing immigrants in New York is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the development database, CRM systems (Salesforce) and donor pipelines.
• Oversee gift processing, data integrity, and reporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate moves management, prospect tracking, and donor journeys with leadership.
• Project-manage appeals, campaigns and events timelines via Asana.
• Maintain donor portfolio and support portfolios for senior leaders.
• Support donor solicitation and stewardship for NYIC leadership.
• Assist in planning/evaluating fundraising events from small to gala.
• Create materials for donor outreach (appeals letters, annual report).
• Manage online store operations and donor gift items.
• Ensure Salesforce, MailChimp, and ActBlue are optimized and report-ready.
