Job summary

Budget Car and Truck Rental of Utah is seeking candidates for its Manager in Training program, a hands-on path into leadership within our rental locations.

You’ll gain experience in customer relations, sales, vehicle operations, fleet management, and team leadership, with paid training and a clear path to management. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience, and a flexible schedule including weekends may be required.

• Coordinate vehicle availability, fleet movement, and inventory needs.
• Participate in employee onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance support.
• Help ensure vehicles, facilities, and the overall branch meet company standards.
• Take on increasing responsibility as you learn the business and demonstrate leadership ability.
• Work with different areas of the operation to develop the skills needed for future management opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, operations, or a related customer-facing environment; rental car experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Interest in developing into a leadership position.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving history.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
