Job summary

Budget Rent A Car of Utah is seeking a Manager in Training to develop leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience in daily branch operations, customer relations, and sales performance. You will work with the management team to meet objectives and learn to lead a team in a fast-paced rental environment.

The program provides paid training, professional development, and clear pathways into management, with a focus on customer service, fleet operations, and process optimization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales, retail, hospitality, operations, or a related customer-facing environment; rental car experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving ability.
• Interest in developing into a leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with branch systems, procedures, and daily business activities.
• Work alongside the management team to meet sales and operational objectives.
• Assist customers throughout the rental process and help address questions or concerns.
• Coordinate vehicle availability, fleet movement, and inventory needs.
• Participate in employee onboarding, coaching, scheduling, and performance support.
• Help ensure vehicles, facilities, and the overall branch meet company standards.
• Take on increasing responsibility as you learn the business and demonstrate leadership ability.
• Work with different areas of the operation to develop the skills needed for future management opportunities.
