Waste Management is seeking a driven Operations Manager responsible for day-to-day district collection activities across multiple sites, driving safety, efficiency, and cost control. You will work with drivers and supervisors to meet performance metrics and P&L targets.
The role involves coordinating with local agencies, enforcing OSHA standards, and leading a team through coaching, training, and performance reviews to deliver reliable service and contractual commitments.
Manages the day-to-day collection operations of a single site or multiple sites or a single Line of Business or multiple Lines of Business, establishes, and maintains performance and productivity metrics and cost management processes. Responsible for P&L. Route Managers and/or District Operations Managers will report directly to this role.

Combination: This job operates in a mix between an office environment and plant/field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc.
Pay: The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $95,700 – $135,000 per year. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
Employees will also receive discretionary paid time off, up to 80 hours of paid sick time per year, and 7 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. The Company provides this paid time off to comply with its obligations to provide paid sick and safe time (“PSST”) under Washington state law and local ordinances. Additionally, the Company has a leave pay policy that provides for up to 4 weeks of paid leave in a rolling 12-month period for qualifying leave.
