A Brief Overview
Stanford Health Care is seeking a leader to oversee large-scale strategic and cross-functional improvement programs in health equity. This role involves collaboration with the Chief Health Equity Officer (CHEO), clinical and operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams to drive patient-centered health equity strategies, including coordinating actionable initiatives, supporting workgroups on health equity measurement and social determinants of health (SDOH), establishing a multicultural workgroup, inventorying health equity efforts and quality improvement action plans. The position will also monitor and evaluate data-driven strategies to reduce disparities in access, quality of care, and/or clinical outcomes focuses with key service lines, while engaging with employee resource groups, patient advisory councils, and community groups. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in service leader culture, navigation of matrixed organizations, strategic and program leadership, project management, and the ability to foster relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do
Provides oversight of the development, implementation, and evaluation of the strategic plan for health equity across the organization, in alignment with the strategic plan and operation plan for Stanford Health Care & Stanford Medicine
Leads multi-disciplinary teams and engenders input, buy-in, and accountability from individuals that work in clinical, operational, patient and family voice areas
Maintains a focus on internal talent management and retention to drive succession planning and future workforce planning, ensuring consistency of leadership’s ability to progress towards strategic goals across the organization
Partner with Operations Manager(s) to identify and develop the leadership needs and internal capacity of the department and facilitate strategic changes in project scope or assignment across the team.
Serves as the liaison to and partners with management guidance teams on access, quality of care, patient experience, and clinical and health outcomes.
Creates a team culture rooted in psychological safety, respect, and accountability
Prioritizes objectives and key results with excellent project management to set goals, communicate to broad audiences, develop timelines, and measure impact
Manages, assesses, and documents project scope and program utilizing standard improvement tools and templates.
Manages and oversees health equity program design and structure for department's key initiatives and projects within assigned leadership division
Develops strategic input for local leadership team regarding business objectives of both current and future projects related to health equity objectives
Works with various departments and physician groups, develops relationships with key stakeholders, and understands their departmental workflows.
Prepares and maintains accurate, coherent, timely and auditable project records and cost estimates, as applicable, within department guidelines.
Provides leadership, coordination and support to all team members.
Education Qualifications
Master degree in work related field from an accredited college required
Experience Qualifications
Five years of broad extensive related work experience and progressively responsible in administrative and/or managerial positions.
A minimum of three years of managerial level experience is preferred.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $68.46 - $90.70 per hourThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
