Job summary

CFS is seeking a Manager, Grants & Contracts in New York City to oversee a portfolio of city and state government grants and contracts. The role reports to the Director of Contract Management and offers exposure to senior leadership.

You will manage budgets, reporting, renewals, and compliance while coordinating with funders and program operations. This position supports process improvements across grants and contracts and offers a path for long-term growth in a mission-driven nonprofit.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing government grants and contracts within a nonprofit environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OPWDD, DOHMH, DYCD, OMH, or similar NYC/NY State funding sources.
  • Hands-on expertise with PASSPort, SFS, CFRS, and related government reporting systems.
  • Experience with grant compliance, budgeting, financial reporting, and funder communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of 25+ city and state government grants and contracts.
  • Ensure timely completion of budgets, financial reports, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with government funders and contract agencies.
  • Maintain and oversee submissions through PASSPort, SFS, CFRS, and related systems.
  • Support and guide analysts on contract administration and reporting activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across grants and contracts operations.
