Job summary

The $200 Million Nonprofit Organization in New York, NY is seeking a Finance Manager of Grants & Contracts to oversee the full post-award grant lifecycle for diverse government and private funding sources. This role expects strong grants management, budgeting, and supervisory experience to support mission-driven programs.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will partner with program leaders to manage budgets, track expenditures, and ensure compliance with all funding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the full post-award grant cycle.
• Strong budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Supervisory or people management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full post-award grants and contracts lifecycle from award setup through final closeout.
• Prepare budgets for multiple programs and funding sources with program leadership.
• Monitor grant expenditures for compliance with funding requirements and approved budgets.
• Provide variance analysis explanations and communicate spending trends to program Managers.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement requests, vouchers, and financial reports to funding sources.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and grant-related accruals.
• Ensure compliance with grant regulations and proper allocation of expenditures.
• Supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals.
