Physical Requirements

Able to lift, push and pull object weight up to 25 lbs, sit for extended periods of time, able to climb stairs and walk for extended periods of time within housing facilities and campus

Shift

Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM-as a exempt position may be required to work outside of these hours to meet departmental needs.

Job Summary

The Housing Manager oversee the daily operations of the Graduate and Family Housing Office and leads the team serving graduate students and families. This role ensures effective, consistent, and policy-complaint housing services while collaborating with university partners to support a positive residential experience.

  • Supervise, lead, coach and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Oversee the daily Graduate and Family Housing operations, including assignments, occupancy and resident communications.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures that promote efficiency, consistency, and compliance with University policies.
  • Interpret and apply housing policies and procedures to address staff and resident questions, concerns, and complex situations.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to coordinate timely and policy-compliant housing processes and resolve operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and processes to enhance the experience of graduate students and families.
  • Respond to resident concerns and service issues with professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure clear, consistent communication with staff, residents, and university partners.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and customer-focused environment that supports the needs of graduate students and families.
