Job summary

Abbott Park, IL seeks a Manager Deferred Margin to oversee global deferred margin reporting with a multi-billion P&L and a balance sheet footprint across Abbott affiliates. You will lead elimination, reconciliations, and reporting in the One Margin framework.

This role requires CPA, 7+ years experience in consolidations/financial reporting, SAP expertise, and strong leadership to develop process improvements and ensure SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA desirable.
• 7+ years of relevant experience including consolidation and financial reporting; international operations experience.
• SAP knowledge including material ledger postings, master data, and product movements.
• Experience with international accounting issues including exchange, transfer pricing, tax and treasury.

Responsibilities

• Elimination and consolidation for inventory, service equipment, and spare parts within One Margin process and legacy Abbott divisions.
• Manage monthly intercompany elimination reconciliations and communicate issues to affiliates and upper management.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance intercompany reporting templates and tools.
• Review LBEs and other financial forecasts for margin and exchange implications.
• Provide support in division and tax processes, exchange impacts, and margin by source.
• Ensure strong financial controls and liaise with auditors for SOX and other issues.
• Lead, mentor, and direct finance staff across the team.
