Job summary

Moët Hennessy USA, Inc. is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to oversee all legal-entity reporting and budgeting/forecasting.

You will work with the Accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance of P&L and balance sheet items, leading a Reporting Analyst and collaborating with multiple departments in a hybrid NYC setup. The role requires 5–7 years in Accounting/Finance, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

The Financial Reporting Manager oversees the Reporting function, which includes all legal-entity reporting for Moet Hennessy USA. The Reporting Manager works with the Accounting Team and is responsible for all legal-entity budgeting and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness on all P&L and Balance Sheet items.

Office/Location: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office

Compensation: $110,000-$137,000/ annually + bonus

Job responsibilities
  • Oversees the Reporting function, which includes all legal-entity reporting. Reviews and approves P&L, balance sheet and supplemental schedules for accuracy and appropriateness before submitting to Group Consolidation.
  • Working with the Accounting Manager and Inventory Manager, determines the responsibilities and deadlines related to the month-end closing process (closing calendar) and communicates within the department and to external departments. Ensures Reporting deadlines and deliverables are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Supervise the Reporting Analyst in the preparation and delivery of the monthly, quarterly, and hard close financial and supplementary information to ensure timeliness and accuracy; review and approve all necessary Topaz and Syrus schedules pertaining to the reporting processes.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc analysis and supporting schedules, as requested, and review/approve analyses and supporting schedules prepared by the Reporting Analyst.
  • Conduct ongoing review of financial data throughout each reporting period, coordinate and manage any necessary corrective action with the Accounting team, and review/approve final monthly reporting packages.
  • Oversees legal-entity budgeting and forecasting. Calculates, reviews and approves P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and supplemental schedules for accuracy and appropriateness before submitting to Group Consolidation, coordinating inputs with the Finance and Operations team as needed.
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly Cash reporting, including DSO, Operating/interco cash movements, and cash flow statement; provide analysis and supporting commentary and schedules as needed. Working with the Accounting and Accounts Payable Directors, predict and manage year end cash deliverables.
  • Responsible for Vendor Master, supervising the new vendor application and banking change processes (including Vendor portal, approvals and recording).
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of the vendor master and processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy, identify and resolve any issues. Provide escalation support to the Reporting Analyst, partnering with internal and external stakeholders/resources as necessary.
Profile
  • Manage the implementation and training relevant of system updates and changes, including providing management briefings to highlight the changes and their resulting impact. Continually review existing processes and procedures and apply business insight to suggest and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Act as Reporting lead in the planning and execution of new product, process and/or system launches.
  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable mindset by continually evaluating, revising, and responding with agility to meet rapidly evolving business needs, and perform other functions or duties as assigned.
Audit / Internal Control:
  • Prepare and present any necessary schedules to satisfy Financial and Internal Control audit requirements, as requested; review and approve information prepared by the Reporting Analyst.
  • Maintain an understanding of all internal control policies and ensure compliance of relevant accounting processes, informing the Controller of any deviation. Ensure that all processes are documented and continually updated.
Leadership:
  • Partner with the Accounting and Reporting Director to develop and communicate vision and initiatives to motive and develop the department.
  • Provide collaborative support and guidance to the Accounting and Finance teams. Build cross-functional partnerships to meet corporate objectives.
  • Provide managerial leadership to the Reporting Analyst, developing professional skills and inspiring peak performance.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degrees, or MBA Degree and/or years of equivalent experience.

Professional Experience & Skills:

  • 5-7 years of Accounting/Finance experience
  • Practical/Technical Knowledge
    • Strong people leader with a proven track record of developing talent in a dynamic and diverse work
  • Highly organized with the ability to work autonomously as needed
  • Regularly act as business partner by providing commercial solutions
