Job Summary
As a Manager, you will partner with business customers to drive strategic business direction for Capital One Auto. Your role involves providing robust analytical frameworks, executive storytelling, strategic partnership, and team leadership to deliver insights that shape decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Robust Analytical Frameworks – Build methodology and perform deep‑dive diagnostics to identify PPNR trends and P&L impacts.
- Drive Executive Storytelling – Translate complex financial models into compelling narratives for senior audiences.
- Act as Strategic Partner – Quantify financial implications of initiatives and optimize business performance through advanced analytics.
- Navigate Ambiguity – Structure ad‑hoc requests into clear methodologies and project plans under tight deadlines.
- Elevate the Team – Mentor junior analysts and raise technical standards.
- Lead CCAR Analytical Support – Model regulatory stress testing and capital planning, providing insight into volume validation, scenario testing, and strategic overlays.
- Model Strategic Sensitivities – Run complex P&L sensitivities to inform senior leadership.
- Illuminate Portfolio Risks & Opportunities – Deliver transparent portfolio health assessments through performance comparisons.
- Manage Complex Deliverables – Prioritize and complete high‑volume analytical work while managing stakeholder expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent military experience.
- 5+ years experience in financial analysis, modeling, or related field.
- 1+ year experience managing an FP&A function.
- Strong influence, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau or QuickSight, and familiarity with emerging AI tooling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (MBA, Finance).
- CFA designation or CPA license.
- 6+ years experience in financial analysis and 3+ years FP&A management.
- Direct or indirect people‑management experience.
Compensation & Benefits
Plano, TX salary range: $138,100 – $157,700 plus performance‑based incentive compensation. This role is hybrid – 3 days per week in‑person at a Capital One office. Benefits include health, financial, and wellness programs.
